The Sixth Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Big Data Forum was recently held simultaneously in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao, with the venue in Macao being set up in the University of Macau (UM) Guest House. Combining both virtual and in-person elements, the event attracted outstanding experts, scholars, and industry practitioners in the field of big data, who exchanged ideas on topics such as digital economy and the development of the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The participants also shared the latest results of big data application, with the goal of creating an international platform for innovation and collaboration as well as promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in big data among the three cities and smart technology development in the GBA. UM’s Centre for Data Science was one of the co-organisers of the event.
